If you’re trying to get through a time of trouble, don’t bother turning to manmade laws, routines or, especially, “religion” for help. “Religion” spares man the effort of thinking spiritual matters through and checking them out, which is a lazy spiritual condition or attitude. But there’s no basis in the Bible for an attitude like this.
We all know and believe in someone or something, but the ability to know the one, true God comes through Jesus Christ alone.
Christianity is Not Religion
Many in Christian Churches today may place their belief in God, but not in the power of God! He has the power to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. He’s able! And it’s His desire for His power to be displayed in our own lives also. This is what divides Christianity from “religion,” (which is simply a system of belief in and reverence for a superhuman power).
Christianity, however, is belief in and reverence for the one and only God as the source of all proper superhuman power. To “believe” means to accept someone or thing as true or real and to follow it. We all know and believe in someone or something, but the ability to know the one, true God comes through Jesus Christ alone.
What really makes Christianity truly special and different is the Cross and Calvary. It’s important for those who come to believe in Christ to understand what the Cross is and its purpose. Once they begin to understand what the message of the Cross is, then they need to come out of “religion” and separate themselves from the beliefs of the world system.
It’s the Cross of Christ that separates Christian believers from other religions and the world. The Lord God is thoroughly disgusted with “religion” with its lifeless churches and preachers. People can either come to the Cross of Christ or they can turn away from it. But His Church will not be a lukewarm Church that is half-alive and half-dead anymore. We won’t find any lifeless church services in Heaven!
Christians need to come out from among the world’s system of thinking, believing and doing! They need to learn to put their faith in Jesus Christ, and then let that faith maintain them.
It’s also important for those who come to believe in God to realize that the world and its religious systems no longer have a hold on them. And they need to take a position of strength and faithfulness to the things of God alone.
Christians Are Not Religious
True Christians aren’t “religious” people. So, they shouldn’t be part of a church of “religion,” but of a personal relationship to God through the person of Jesus Christ instead. Whatever problems we may face, the answer is not “religion,” not a denomination, and not today’s Modern Church. No one should ever place their denomination or church group on an equal status with Christ! He’s the answer—the only answer!
How many shift back and forth between what other people say, or what their denomination says, and what God’s Word says?
Christ is searching for people who won’t bow to false gods. How many shift back and forth between what other people say, or what their denomination says, and what God’s Word says? How long will people waver back and forth between “religion” and God? Christ is sick and tired of religious ceremonies and rituals. What He wants is a relationship with us that’s real.
Control and Bondage
There may be more people in churches today than at any time before, but most of them are without life or power spiritually. People can even be raised in Church or “religious,” yet still end up going to Hell when they die! Satan has taken more people to Hell through being bound by “religion” than by anything else!
What’s the greatest bondage in the world? “Religion”! It’s a false, manmade way of salvation. There’s only one, true, God-appointed way, and that’s through Jesus Christ. The spirit of “religion” dominates the world. It binds and blinds people and it will keep you bound. All it really wants to do is to control people. Is “religion” dominating you?
There’s no real difference between this bondage and any other kind.
The vast majority of the world lives in the darkness of sin and bondage. They can’t stop it! There’s no real difference between this bondage and any other kind. Pride and “religion” are some of the greatest bondages on Earth!
A spell is attached to “religion” which enchants and fascinates people and turns them away from the Gospel of Christ. Demon spirits are associated with “religion” more than anything else. Magic, witchcraft, and “religion” cannot and will not help you.
“Religious” people can be some of the worst people in the world. “Religion” does not really care about Jesus. It keeps people in an impossible loop. “Religion” won’t set you free! Your money—your body—control—that’s what it wants from you! But if you really want the Lord, He’ll bring you out of “religion.”
Only a Front or Façade
Many consider themselves “religious,” but their heart has never changed toward God. It’s your heart that God looks on, not your “religion.” There are all kinds of “religion,” but they cannot change your life for good because they can’t move your heart toward God.
All “religion” not conceived by God has been invented by man, but God has no use for anything man comes up with on his own. You can be brought into the true family of God if you will reach out to Him alone. Jesus Christ can change your life! Do you believe it?
True help cannot and does not come from men.
Christianity is not a “religion”—it’s an entirely new way of life! That’s why living for Christ is totally different from “religion.” True help cannot and does not come from men. Don’t go back to “religion,” or to the world, or to any other kind of bondage. You need to look up—your help comes only from above! Give your heart to Christ today and be free of the hold of religious bondage forever!
